How do I play?

Type in any character name to make a guess. Each guess will give you clues about the hidden character through colored tiles and arrows.

What universes are included?

We currently feature characters from a wide variety of anime series, including but not limited to mainstream hits and niche favorites. More are added regularly!

Can I play more than once a day?

Nope, just one challenge per day! But you can look forward to new content every 24 hours.

What do the colors and arrows mean?

🟩 Green means exact match, 🟧 orange means partial match, 🟥 red means no match. 🔺 means the actual value is higher, 🔻 means it’s lower. These help you narrow down the correct answer.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is necessary to play!

Can I suggest characters or report issues?

Yes! We love community suggestions and feedback. Use the contact page to get in touch.

Are there mobile or desktop apps?

Right now, Animedle is web-based, but mobile-friendly.

What if I type a character and nothing happens?

Make sure the name is spelled correctly. If it is, it means that the character doesn't exist in our database.
